Back in the 70s my mom went to the Indy 500. She said that an alien who landed would think that all humans had a beer can attached to their hand. When she got there, the guys in the next camper had  spelled out COORS with their empty beer cans. When she left they had spelled out INDIANAPOLIS.

We have no income tax in WA either, but plenty of other taxes/regulations , and in metro areas, what has to be one of the lower value (in terms of what you get for your money) housing markets, so that makes up for it.  No doubt the low tax/low amenity ideal attracts a certain mentality to FL, the same type who doesn’t care about schools.

I would love to, especially if it was closer , but that’s a 3 hours drive each way from here - my wife would not be down for that.

Aye. Well, next time hopefully. By then I’ll have my license and will probably have a car (ahem Fit) by then too. I turn 16 on Valentine’s day and soon after we’ll move and get everything sorted out. I should also be en  route with my pilot stuff too, so what if I fly up to Chicago? Lmao but next time
